Background Information

Dr. Anderson trained for an additional 6 years in a dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial surgery program at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.  Oral surgeons often complete a four or six year residency program that is hospital-based in nature, and provides extensive training in managing medically compromised surgical patients, providing general anesthesia for minor procedures, treating complex facial lacerations and fractures, as well as providing surgical care for cosmetic problems and head and neck cancer patients.  As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Anderson manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Anderson practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery and cosmetic enhancements. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
